England men’s stars lead the praise for the Lionesses as they reach Women’s Euros final
The Lionesses are into the final of the Women’s Euros and the men’s team are getting right behind Sarina Wiegman’s side as they continue to impress.
Goals from Beth Mead, Lucy Bronze, Alessia Russo and Fran Kirby gave England the memorable win over Sweden in Tuesday’s semi-final in Sheffield.
The rousing win sets up a final on Sunday against either Germany or France and the country will be watching as the team captures the imagination of the nation.
Huge names from the men’s game will certainly be cheering on the Lionesses, with a string of superstars taking to social media to offer their support.

England men’s captain Harry Kane simply added: ‘Yesss Lionesses! Bring on the final!’

Rio Ferdinand was clearly enjoying the game, giving commentary over the match, including when Mead showed fine control and a cool finish to open the scoring in the first half…

Former England international Stephen Warnock told the BBC: ‘This is how you bring the women’s game to the forefront. It’s not just women and young girls.
‘It’s men and young boys in the crowd celebrating. This is phenomenal. This is how you build the women’s game.’
The Lionesses will now face either Germany or France at 5pm on Sunday at Wembley.
