Barcelona successfully register all but ONE of their summer signings ahead of La Liga opener

Barcelona have successfully registered all but ONE of their summer signings ahead of their La Liga opener on Saturday.

The Catalan giants have splashed the cash on new talent despite their financial predicament.

They shelled out £52 million for Leeds United's Raphinha and a further £40 million to snap up Robert Lewandowski from Bayern Munich.

Not to mention the free transfers of Franck Kessie and Andreas Christensen following the expirations of their contracts at AC Milan and Chelsea respectively.

Ousmane Dembele and Sergi Roberto, who both signed new contracts have also been registered.

However, Jules Kounde has NOT yet been registered for the time being.

Barca forked out £45 million to acquire Kounde from Sevilla, but he'll have to sit on the sideline until he gets officially registered by the club.

The Athletic claim that the French defender's registration is dependent on salary reductions and squad sales.

Kounde, who had also attracted interest from Chelsea, is delighted to have joined the La Liga outfit - but insists he wants to be an important player for his new team

"I’m very happy, but that does not end here. I am at Barcelona, great. But I want more, I want to be important, and I want to win titles," he told Barca TV.

"That is what motivates me the most. With the team we have, we have to compete for every single title.

"As a child, I hated losing. I still do, but I deal with is differently now. I understand that sometimes you win, and sometimes you lose. You need to stay calm."
