Riqui Puig Appears To Mock Ferran Torres In Damning, Leaked Audio Clips

Riqui Puig appeared to make a dig at Ferran Torres, claiming Pep Guardiola didn't want him at Manchester City.

Leaked audio clips from February reveal Puig's thoughts on Torres' arrival at Barcelona following his move from Man City.

Joan Fontes has shared some voice clips, supposedly from the Barca midfielder's driving classes this year.

He made an eyebrow-raising comment regarding the transfer of Torres to Barca.

"Ferran Torres? Guardiola didn’t even want him. He played 12 matches last year," said Puig.

For Man City, Torres actually played less games last season than what Puig actually claims.

The Spanish forward made just seven appearances in all competitions last season, scoring three goals before moving to Barca in the January transfer window.

Torres featured more regularly at Barca, playing 26 games in all competitions - scoring seven goals.

Puig, meanwhile, has been the subject of intense transfer speculation, with reports linking him with a move away from the Camp Nou.

That's despite being touted as a big talent after starring for La Masia.

But he's struggled to make an impact at the club.

On his future, Puig revealed that he had offers from Chelsea and AC Milan.

"I had offers from Chelsea and Milan," he said. "I did not leave because I’m fine here at Barcelona. They pay you double the money, but you’re lonely there."

Puig also touched on the emotional departure of Lionel Messi, who left Barca for Paris Saint-Germain in 2021.

"It is normal that Messi reacts like that when leaving Barcelona. He was at the club since he was 14 years old."
